The purposes of the Association is to -
- To preserve and propagate Basava philosophy and his contemporary Philosophy by practicing themselves and by promoting this universal message in the wider community for the benefit of our future generation.
- To bring Basava followers of Australasian region and globally together to make a real contribution to the development of our community, region and world by adopting and following Basavanna’s philosophy.
- To maintain and enhance Basava philosophy harmoniously among the members of the BSOA as well as wider community with the principal idea of everybody living a content and happy life.
- To enhance members life style to adopt Basava philosophy by harmoniously living with the local environment.
- To increase knowledge by regular practice of Basava philosophy and sharing our history and culture among the locals.
- To offer help or assist the needy to maintain equality in the community.
- To maintain links with other Basava Samithi’s across the world in order to keep the members informed of the developments in Karnataka (India) or in any other country.
- To publish a newsletter to communicate with the members of the Association.
- To establish a library for the benefit of the members.
- To enter into any suitable agreement with government or authority to achieve the objectives of the association.
